Legion had busy weekend

The Albert Lea Legion beat Rochester John Marshall on Friday twice during a double header at home.
In the first game Albert Lea won 4-2.
Cole Sorenson, the team’s pitcher, did well on and off the mound. He hit a two-run homerun that gave Albert Lea a 2-0 lead.
In the second game, Albert Lea won 4-0.
Pitcher Carter Kortan shut down the Patriots by allowing only four hits and striking out three while walking zero.
On Saturday, Albert Lea took on the Rochester Red Hawks and once again won both games in the double header.
In the first game the Legion won 9-7 after falling behind 6-1 in the second inning. They scored four runs in the third, one in the fifth and two in the sixth to pick up a win.
In the second game, the Legion won 8-6.
The Tigers are on a six game winning streak. Their league record is 6-2 and they are 7-3 overall. They play at 6 p.m. today against Austin at Hayek Field.
