Man injured after motorcycle pursued

HARTLAND — Earl Chris Thibodeau, 46, of Albert Lea was injured when his Honda Shadow motorcycle crashed near the intersection of Highway 13 and Main Street in Hartland early Saturday morning.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office said the vehicle was traveling at more than 90 mph and allegedly wouldn’t stop when deputies pursued him.
Thibodeau was transported to St. Marys Hospital in Rochester via a Mayo One helicopter. The crash happened after 2:30 a.m. Saturday.
The man was released from the hospital later Saturday and is in custody at Freeborn County jail, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver of the motorcycle was cited for a DWI, fleeing in a motor vehicle, possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Hartland Fire Department also assisted at the crash.
