Here are highlights in history for Oct. 28, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1992 — A column by Pat Stumme, Freeborn County Extension agent, stressed that testing for radon gas was worth considering for area homeowners.

1982 — A proposal by Naeve Health Care Association to operate the Owatonna Hospital as a subsidiary was rejected.

1962 — Mike Ferguson and Janice Knaack were elected to be the Homecoming king and queen at Glenville High School.
