Bucky Dixon, a Hayward resident, was recently awarded two places in a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team.

The meet was hosted by Concordia College in Moorhead.

Dixon is in his junior year at Bethel University and participates as a thrower on the track and field team.

He took second place in the discus with a distance of 45.41 meters and fifth place in the hammer throw with a distance of 45.41 meters.

Bethel University placed fifth as a team at the meet.
