Teenager arrested after liquor store break-in

Albert Lea police arrested a 13-year-old boy Sunday after he allegedly broke into Eastside Liquor, 2314 Hendrickson Drive, according to reports.
Police stated officers were dispatched to the liquor store just after 6 a.m. Sunday after receiving a report of a broken window.
When they arrived, they watched surveillance video from the store and recognized the 13-year-old boy.
Police stated officers will be investigating the teenager for other similar crimes that have been reported in the last week and a half.
The teenager was taken to a secure juvenile detention facility.
He is expected to appear in Freeborn County District Court today on the charges.
City pool broken into Saturday
Albert Lea City Pool, 321 James Ave., was reported broken into for the second time in a week on Saturday, according to police.
The register was reported smashed on the floor, counter drawers were gone through, a locker window was broken and cash was reported taken.
The incident was reported at 8:59 a.m. Saturday.
Woman injured in rollover
A woman was taken by private vehicle to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea after a reported rollover north of Clarks Grove on Saturday night.
According to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Angela Johannsen, 49, of Richfield was driving northbound on 780th Avenue, about one-fourth of a miles north of 28989 780th Ave., when she reportedly went around a slight curve, entered gravel and then rolled two to three times.
Johannsen was reportedly wearing her seat belt and did not have to be extricated.
The incident took place just before 9 p.m.
Two cited for possession of drug paraphernalia
Wesley Dean Thostenson and Travis James Marth were cited for possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on Minnesota Highway 109, about 1 1/2 miles west of Alden at 9:44 p.m. Friday.
Window broken out of business
A window at the Freeborn County Shopper, 110 W. Pearl St., was reportedly broken by a group of juveniles who reportedly threw a rock through the window, police stated.
Businesses broken into
A window was reported broken in the door of the Liquor Depot, 606 S. Broadway at 9:01 a.m. Friday, according to police. Alcohol was taken.
Smoke bomb set off in vehicle
A smoke bomb was reportedly set off in a vehicle at 1608 SE Marshall St. at 4:33 p.m. Friday, according to police.
Juveniles reported on high school roof
Four juveniles were cited for trespassing at 1:45 a.m. Saturday after police received a report there were three to four kids on the roof of Glenville High School, 140 Second Ave. SE. One was also cited for possession of alcohol.
House broken into
A screen was slashed and items were reported missing from 1904 Bridge Ave. at 12:43 a.m. Saturday, according to reports.
A camera was reported taken from 1321 Todd Ave., at 11:41 p.m. Sunday.
