1967 grad Chuck Jean to join HOF

The fifth person to be inducted into the Albert Lea High School Hall of Fame on Saturday will be Chuck Jean.
Jean is a 1967 graduate of ALHS who wrestled and played football.
In his senior year he was the state wrestling champion as an individual and also was part of the team that was state champion.
In 1966, he was the captain of the football team.
Jean attended both Iowa State University and Adams State College for wrestling.
At both schools he was a champion wrestler and a member of the teams that were named champion.
Jean is already a member of six Hall of Fames including: Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association, Adams State College, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Mayo Civic Center Region One, Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All Time Wrestling Team and Glen Brand Wrestling.
Jean will join seven others at the induction ceremony at Wedgewood Cove Golf Club.
A four-person best shot golf tournament will start at 10:30 a.m. A silent auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. and a meal with guest speaker Eric Nyquist will be served at 6:30 p.m.
All proceeds from the Hall of Fame are donated to ALHS to reduce participation fees for high school athletes.
