Here are highlights in history for Nov. 8, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1985 — Mark Langrud, Route 2, Alden, was honored by United Parcel Service for his record of driving 20 years of driving without an accident.
1975 — “Glenville Brush-Ups,” an art exhibit, would be held at the Glenville Lutheran Church.
1955 — More than 80 people attended the silver anniversary of the Albert Lea Y Men’s Club held at the Hotel Albert.
