Freeborn-Mower Cooperative Services issued a peak alert Thursday as the heat wave continued across the region.
Because of high demands for electricity caused by hot temperatures, the company has asked customers to wait until after 7 p.m. to use any unnecessary electric power, according to a news release.
The release states waiting until 7 p.m. will help keep electricity costs low.
This is the fourth peak alert the company has issued in the last month.
