USC elementary to hold Veterans Day program

United South Central’s elementary school will host a Veterans Day program at 11 a.m. Thursday.
There will be a presentation of colors by area veterans, the high school band will perform the “Star Spangled Banner,” and the Pledge of Allegiance will be led by kindergartners. The future armed forces of USC will be featured, and various other songs will be sung. Students will present famous quotes honoring veterans, and students will present their thank-yous to veterans. The main speaker is Brent Mutschler, introduced by Blake Mutschler. Kia Legred will read a VFW Patriot’s Pen Essay and the high school band will close the ceremony with “God Bless America.”
The public is invited to the event.
