Memorial services for Pauline Elizabeth Matti, 84, of Albert Lea will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12, 2010, at St. Theodore’s Catholic Church. Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Pauline died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at Albert Lea Medical Center.
Pauline Elizabeth Matti was born on Aug. 11, 1926, to Leonard S. and Mary E. Rossi. She grew up in Iowa. Pauline was united in marriage to Kenneth Matti Sr. The couple had two sons, Kenneth Jr. and Charles. They later divorced. Pauline was employed in the cafeteria at St. John’s Lutheran Home for 20 years. She was a member of St. Theodore’s Catholic Church and the Eagles Club. In 2005 Pauline moved from her home to Good Samaritan Center. She loved music and dancing and always participated in the musical events at Good Samaritan. Pauline also enjoyed the special events like visits from the Minnesota Twins and especially when the motorcycles came. She had a warm smile, loved visiting with friends and neighbors and kept in touch with relatives and friends through cards and letters.
Survivors include her son, Kenneth Matti, Jr., and wife Melinda of Thorn Hill, Tenn.; grandson, John Matti; brothers: Frank R. Rossi, and wife Shirley, and Andrew Rossi, and wife Elaine, from Kansas City, Mo; sisters: Mary Ann Conrad, and husband Joseph, from Virginia Beach, Va., and Josephine Juardo and husband John, from Kansas City, Mo.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard S. Rossi and Mary E. Rossi; son, Charles Matti; and brother, Leonard Rossi, Jr.
