Belmond-Klemme defeats Lake Mills softball

Belmond-Klemme scored three runs in the bottom half of the first inning to defeat the Lake Mills softball team 4-1 Wednesday in Belmond.
“The girls played solid defense,” Lake Mills softball coach Wade Fridley said. “Carlie Christianson caught five ball in center field, while Emily Kingland threw three batters our from third base.”
Randi Dilly took the loss for the Bulldogs as she went one inning and and gave up three runs.
On Offense, the Bulldogs recorded six hits on the night, although it lead to only one run.
Megan Johnson had two of the six hits, while Carlie Christianson had an RBI for Lake Mills.
The Bulldogs return to action on Friday against North Iowa in Lake Mills.
