3 Tigers football players named Big 9 All-Conference

Gaudian, Klatt and Abben honored
Albert Lea football coach Clay Anderson announced Monday that seniors Caleb Gaudian and Aaron Klatt, and sophomore Ethan Abben were named to the 2010 Big Nine All-Conference football team.
Seniors Dillon Stolt, Jake Jensen and Alex Nielson were named All-Conference honorable mention.
Gaudian, an offensive guard, played a big role in protecting Tigers quarterback Kyle Kriewall this season and allowing the team to rush for an average of 222 yards per game.
Also a defensive lineman, Gaudian had 70 tackles and a team-high six sacks, and was named the team’s most valuable player.
Klatt had 17 receptions for the Tigers this season as wide receiver for a team-high 326 yards.
He averaged 19.2 yards per catch and his season-high for yards in a game was 85.
Abben earned the starting running back spot this season before the Tigers first game, despite being a sophomore.
He rushed for 808 yards on 142 carries with eight touchdowns. His season-high for yards in a game was 185.
Abben also had a 28-yard touchdown reception this season against Austin on Oct. 20.
Dillon Stolt was the Tigers second leading rusher with 69 carries for 369 yards and three touchdowns. He also chipped in 39 tackles and a sack.
Jake Jensen had the second most tackles for the Tigers with 73 and had three sacks.
Alex Nielson played offensive tackle this season but also had 21 tackles on defense.
