Here are highlights in history for Nov. 17, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1993 — One of the columnists featured in the Tribune was Geri McShane, the newspaper’s managing editor.
1983 — The Greenery, an eating and drinking establishment in the Skyline Annex, was featuring an “all you can eat” Thanksgiving Day buffet for $5.95, and $2.95 for those under age 10.
1953 — Students at Albert Lea High School would be presenting the play, “The Heiress.” Directing this play would be Hildred Tennihill.
