Thanks for vote on Election Day

I would like to thank everyone that took the time to get out and vote this past election. Whether your choice of candidate won or lost you got out and expressed your desires. I would also like to say thank you to all of you that have had encouraging and complementary words directed my way while filling in as mayor pro tem.

Most importantly, to the voters of the 6th Ward, I would like to thank you for your vote on Election Day. You have shown me your support and allowed me to serve you since 1998 and the appreciation I feel is not taken for granted. I will continue to try to make decisions that are in your best interests. We will have a lot in front of us in these economic times. In saying that I believe its my responsibility as your councilor in finding a balance in keeping a handle on government overspending but yet provide services and infrastructure to this community that allows the city and you a chance to grow and prosper. I know that at times decisions will be made on my part that won’t always be agreeable to all of us, but I will always continue these next four years to represent you and your wishes in finding that balance. Thank you voters of the 6th Ward.
