Here are highlights in history for Nov. 19, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1985 — Recipes for seven holiday cookies were featured on the Tribune’s food page in this issue.
1975 — There was a proposal to name the city’s new medical facility the Albert Lea Community Hospital. Instead, the new building would be named Naeve Hospital and the former site on Fountain Street would become the Naeve Annex.
1955 — Ralph Summers, athletic director at Albert Lea High School, said the Tigers would play 18 basketball games and have 18 wrestling meets during their regular seasons.
