Albert Lea’s Sophie Miller was one of two players recognized from her team Wednesday at the Minnesota State High School Soccer Coaches Association/Soccer Express Senior Classic at the Metrodome.

Two players from the Class A team and the Class AA team were either selected as the team MVP or an all-star by the coaches of each side and Miller was named an all-star after her performance at center defense.

The Class AA team defeated the Class A team 4-0.

Miller was named to the all-state team three consecutive years. She earned all-state honorable mention as a sophomore and was an all-state selection in her junior and senior season at Albert Lea.
