Here are highlights in history for Nov. 22, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1991 — An article by staff writer Patrick Meirick featured Sue Miller, a new employee at the Albert Lea City Engineering Department.

1981 — The girls’ volleyball team from Bricelyn High School won second-place honors at the state tournament held in Bloomington. (The Tribune article said there were only 47 students in the school’s 10th, 11th and 12th grades.)

1951 — The Freeborn County Fair earned a profit of $681 from this year’s event, according to the report made at the board’s annual meeting.
