G-E gets elusive win at Lions

The Glenville-Emmons boys’ basketball team notched their first win at Spring Grove in school history Thursday, beating the Lions 64-47.
According to Wolverines (1-0, 1-0 Southeast) head coach Dan Fredrickson, this was just the Lions’ (0-1, 0-1) third home loss in seven years.
“We really shared the ball well tonight to beat their pressure,” Fredrickson said. “The boys’ played poised and executed our game plan.”
Tyler Woodside led the Wolverines with 16 points, 10 rebounds, six blocks and three steals.
Peter Hansen had 19 points, six steals and six assists, while Derek Olson chipped in nine points and eight rebounds.
The Wolverines play again Thursday at 7:15 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran.
