Woman transported after crash

A 29-year-old Bricelyn woman was transported by ambulance to Naeve Hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries Wednesday afternoon after she reportedly hit the side of a semi that was turning into a field drive on Freeborn County Road 29, three miles west of Freeborn.
According to a Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office news release, the incident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
When authorities arrived at the scene, the road was partially blocked because of the semi’s positioning, the release stated. A 1997 Honda appeared to have struck the right side of 2001 International Semi.
Jessica Azopa, the driver of the Honda, was transported. The driver of the semi, Chad B. Miller, 38, was not injured.
According to the release, the Minnesota State Patrol commercial vehicle inspector was called to the scene to examine the semi for any damage.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
No charges are expected from this incident.
The Freeborn Fire Department First Responders and the Minnesota State Patrol assisted at the scene.
Car broken into
A car was reported broken into on the 600 block of Marshall Street at 5:45 p.m. Wednesday, according to police reports.
