Albert Lea sure has a November to remember

It’s that time of the season simply to be thankful. As families gather this season for holiday traditions and start new traditions, plan on attending some of these fun filled events:
On Saturday, please join us for an evening “Tribute to John Denver” at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center. Enjoy acoustic guitar music performed by David Courey with special vocalist Beth Crosby. All proceeds will go to the Freeborn County Historical Society.
ACT Theatre presents “Breaking Legs,” a comedy about “the mob” meeting “art” in New England! Performances are Nov. 12-14 and 19-21.
Civic Music presents Robert Robinson, a fabulous tenor seen and loved with Lorie Line’s Christmas Show will perform a program of spirituals, gospel songs and pop arrangements this Thursday.
For bluegrass music lovers, the Northbridge Mall hosts a bluegrass jam this Thursday and again Nov. 19.
For hockey fans the Albert Lea Thunder hockey team is in town Nov. 15 and 21. The Bantam Hockey Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 20 to 22.
The annual Albert Lea Cantori Concert under the direction of Eileen Nelson Ness will be held on Nov. 22 at United Methodist Church of Albert Lea featuring music of the upcoming Advent and Christmas seasons.
Enjoy an afternoon of celebrating “A Taste of Heritage” at the Northbridge Mall on Nov. 28 from 1 to 3 p.m. Celebrate diversity with many heritage and culture displays, dances and samplings of the food in these cultures!
The Albert Lea Farmers Market will be at the Northbridge Mall on Wednesdays beginning Nov. 11, continuing to bring you fresh produce, jams, jellies, meats and bake goods. There will be arts and crafts vendors, also.
