A 36-year-old Austin woman was found dead in her home at Bremerton Apartments Thursday evening around 6:30 p.m.

Police Chief Brian Krueger said a neighbor had checked on the woman and believed her to be deceased. When police arrived at the apartment, the woman had already passed away. Her young daughter — whose age was not released — was apparently in the home at the time of death.

Krueger said the woman had only been dead a short time when police arrived.

No foul play is suspected and no trauma was found on the woman’s body, Krueger said, but an autopsy was conducted at Mayo Clinic in Rochester Thursday night.

The results of the autopsy and toxicology of the autopsy will not be available for several weeks.

Krueger said the woman’s name will likely be released sometime Friday, after her family is notified of the death.
