Evan Ferber hit a three pointer with 20 seconds left to help push the New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva Panthers boys’ basketball team past the Bethlehem Academy Cardinals 53-51 on Tuesday in New Richland to give the Panthers their first victory of the year.
“It was a very nice win,” NRHEG coach Pat Churchill said. “We needed the victory to get the taste of two defeats out of our mouths.”
Matt Nafe led NRHEG with 16 points, while Matt Carlson had 13.
The Panthers also had 12 points from Evan Ferber.
The Panthers hit the court again Friday as they travel to play J-W-P.
