Weekend Planner: Country and comedy coming to Ross Center

The Marion Ross Performing Arts Center will host a country music star and comedian — all in the same night.

Leona Williams, country music singer, will perform with Ron Williams and fiddler Jade Jack this Sunday. Branson, Mo., comedian Harley Worthit and Stephanie Erdman and the Legends Band will also appear.

Doors open at 6:45 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. All tickets are $20 and available at the box office or at www.actonbroadway.com. The box office will open at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Saturday

• Northbridge Mall hosts its Back to School Kids Day that includes a fashion show at 1 p.m. The children’s movie “Rio” will play at 9:30 a.m., and it will be free to the first 145 people. There will be a drawing for school supplies and goodies, too.

 

Sunday

• St. John’s Lutheran Home hosts an open house for residents and family starting at 11 a.m. in the chapel and chapel parking lot. There will be music from LA Sasse. An open house for the community starts at 1 p.m. and includes a luncheon.

• Leona Williams and Harley Worthit perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Marion Ross Performing Arts Center in Albert Lea.
