Topeka took advantage of 10 power-play opportunities Friday against the Albert Lea Thunder Friday in Topeka for a 5-1 victory.
The RoadRunners (10-2-2) scored four power-play goals, including two during a five-minute major and one on a 5-on-3 power play.
Topeka broke the game open in the second period during a five-minute power play. Bryce Johnson and Alec Hagaman scored after Albert Lea’s Petrus Sipila received a five-minute major for boarding midway through the second period.
“That was a game changer right there,” said Thunder head coach Chuck Linkenheld.
