Geraldine Loegering, 90, Albert Lea

Geraldine (Jerry) Loegering, 90, died Jan. 2, 2011, at Good Samaritan Care Center in Albert Lea, where she had been a resident for the past four years.

She was born in Duluth on July 3, 1920, to Ray and Mildred Ressler. She married Howard Loegering on Oct. 4, 1941. They made Wells their home in 1954 where Jerry worked at the hospital kitchen and Shulenburgs Super Value. They also owned the Wells Bowl for many years.

Jerry loved to have family and friends for coffee and enjoyed her grandchildren. She also enjoyed quilting at her church.

She is survived by one son, Gerald (Karen) Loegering, of Albert Lea; one daughter, Jill Loegering, of Arden Hills; one daughter-in-law, Holli Loegering of Wells; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Eleanor Willman, of Duluth; nieces and nephews; and one sister-in-law, Micki Loegering, of Dallas, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard; one son, Chuck Loegering of Wells; one sister, Fern Brozinski, of Duluth.

Her wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Good Shepard Lutheran in Wells.
