Murray poster was in bad taste

In the media we are being told that the next 60-some days are going to be rough and dirty in the political world. It does not have to be that way. We all need to be careful that we do not confuse facts with opinions. The First Amendment gives us the freedom of free speech (that’s why I’m able to write this letter).

However, I’m sad that a few Democrats in this community chose to express their opinions with a wanted poster. The poster was a picture of Rich Murray, our state representative. The wanted poster would indicate that they feel Murray has done something illegal and has a price on his head. I wonder how they would feel if they walked into their classroom or office and saw their picture on a wanted poster.

We need to remember that those involved in politics and their families are sacrificing and we all need to think before we attack.
