Winter weather advisory issued, 3-5 inches of snow possible

Freeborn County could see the first significant snowfall Sunday night and Monday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Freeborn County.
About 3-5 inches are expected in Fairmont and Albert Lea. Other areas could see 2-3 inches of snow.
Snow is expected to develop after midnight, and continue into Monday morning.
Overnight, the weather service calls for about an inch of snow after 4 a.m. with a 70 percent chance of precipitation.
An additional 1-3 inches are possible Monday before 4 p.m. with a 90 percent chance of precipitation.
The high for Monday is expected to be around 37 with a low around 25.
The snow is expected to affect weather conditions, especially Monday morning. The weather service advises motorists to drive cautiously, reduce speeds and keep a safe distance when following another vehicle.
