USC girls’ tennis advances

While the weather is getting colder, that’s not stopping the Rebels girls’ tennis team from heating up during the section playoffs.
Coming off a dominating performance over St. Peter, United South Central flexed its muscles in the opening of the playoffs with a 6-1 win over Le Center.
In singles action, the Rebels took three out of a possible four matches from the Wildcats. Recording wins for USC was Ali Ramsley, Rachel Mattick, and Danie Roberts.
The Rebels dominated the doubles matches, posting three victories and earning a sweep.
Cami Christian and Brianna Schroeder, Megan Chicos and Robin Staloch, and Megan Allis and Ali Wood all won their matches.
USC advances on to face Maple River on Monday at 4 p.m. in Mapleton.
