Here are highlights in history for Jan. 21, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1985 — Fire destroyed the Ford garage in Wells the previous day. The firemen were hampered by a 25 to 30 mph wind. All cars inside the building were lost.
1975 — Alan Light, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Light of Albert Lea, became an Eagle Scout. He was a member of Boy Scout Troop 40, sponsored by Salem Lutheran Church.
1955 — Members of the Hollandale Rod & Gun Club held a fox hunt in the area. Assisting the hunters was a aircraft piloted by Pat Selatd of Blooming Prairie.
