Kiwanis Golden K II 2009-10 officers and directors were installed on Sept. 29at the American Legion Club by Minnesota/Dakota Kiwanis Region 6 Lt. Gov. Dawn Fairbrother and past Lt. Gov. David Fairbrother.

The Golden K II officers are: President Clifford “Cliff” Rask; President-elect Red Mershon; Vice President Melvin Hobbiebrunken; Secretary Jim Tomson; and Treasurer Gerhard Kleih. Directors are: one-year — Ray Klingbeil and Jonathon Green; two-year — Alfred Landaas and Terry Tarvestad; three-year — Lloyd Bottleson and Ralph Gilman.

Golden K II’s program on Oct. 14 will be Don Warta from New Ulm. He has several topics to share: “Herman the German,” “New Ulm the German Town in Minnesota” and a few stories about World War II. On Oct. 21, the speaker will be Bill Goette, Mancester Township farmer. His topic is “Bent Tree Wind Farm.”
