God is the most powerful tool

As war, strife, famines, pestilence, moral breakdown and near economic collapse are around us, the average person may feel helpless. We, as a nation have many enemies in the world that want to hurt us, some with nuclear weapons. We have no say in what the politicians and world leaders do — and while they talk a lot, they seem hapless to do anything positive. We have no control over the weather or crops, and we really have little or no control on anything that happens outside our little personal worlds. It could cause a person to despair.

Yet we are not helpless or hopeless. The Israelites once felt that way when they were slaves in Egypt. But they got delivered from their enemy, set free from bondage, redeemed from Egypt and given the promised land of milk and honey. How did it happen? God acted on their behalf, when they “cried out to God.” Let’s not forget the most powerful tool in our arsenal. Whatever issues we have, whatever fears we face, whatever grief we bear, whatever pain we feel, cry out to God. He hears prayers and will respond. Our nation needs your prayers.
