The 2008 Big Island Rendezvous & Festival print will be unveiled at the Rendezvous this weekend.
Special attraction Abraham Lincoln and his wife, Mary Todd, are featured on the print.
Gary A. Simpkins and Carol J. Simpkins portray the Lincolns. They come from Heyworth, Ill.
Gary started portraying Lincoln in 1976. His wife, Carol, joined him in 1998 portraying Mary Todd Lincoln.
The print also features demonstrators — gunsmiths, a wooden bucket maker, early photographer, musicians, a violinist and guitarist, as well as vendors from Trader’s Row.
The lower right-hand corner features four volunteers representing REACT, a group that donates many hours to the Rendezvous.
“I’m proud to be a part of the Big Island Rendezvous and that my art is helping this event and helping the Thursday and Friday student days,” said Eloise Adams.
Prints are black and white or handpainted — numbered and signed.
Proceeds from print sales go toward funding the two student days when 3,000 students come from area schools.
Prints can be purchased at the Rendezvous or at Adam’s Originals at 238 S. Broadway Ave.
