Here are highlights in history for Jan. 25, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1992 — The Albert Lea Community Theater was presenting the musical production, “Anne of Green Gables,” for nine performances. This play was directed by Betty Loper.
1982 —An editorial in the Tribune said there was a silver lining for the wild winter weather. It declared that “spring is only 53 days away.”
1962 — Richard Stadheim was named as the Outstanding Young Farmer by the Albert Lea Jaycees.
