After last Monday night’s Albert Lea City Council meeting, the plan for the streetscape sounds like it’s a foregone conclusion. The council members said that they like hearing from the citizens and would answer questions about the project. Why is it that numerous people have asked the question about bumpouts in the winter time with snow removal? Nobody, and I mean nobody, has stopped up to say that they have done research on the possibility of problems with snow removal with the bumpouts. Why won’t the council answer this simple question? Perhaps if they researched this question and informed the citizens, people who don’t like the project because of this possible problem would either feel better about the project or those for the project would rethink their decision. Ask your council person to research this question and let the ciizens know the answer to make this a complete due diligence.
