The Albert Lea High School girls’ swimming and diving team placed fourth overall in the Section 1A True Team invitational on Saturday in Northfield.
En route to its finish out of 10 teams, the Tigers added to their record setting season.
In the 200-yard relay, Kemma Bergland, Lindsey Horejsi, Ahnika Jensen and Anna Andersen swam a time of 1 minute, 55.29 seconds to take third place. They beat the meet record of 1:55.55 along with Faribault, 1:53.66, and Northfield, 1:54.13.
In the 200-yard individual medley freshman Lindsey Horejsi not only beat the meet record, which she set last October, she beat the pool record with a time of 2:10.26. Horejsi’s record last year was 2:14.83 and the pool record, 2:10.66, was set in 2009 by Audrey Kumm.
The last two records were set by Horejsi in the 100-yard breaststroke. Horejsi swam 1:10.69 to beat herself in the meet and pool records. She reset the records last year swimming a time of 1:06.01.
