Resident’s fence used as bathroom

Police will put extra patrols in the area of 211 McArthur Dr. after someone at 213 McArthur Dr. told officers someone used her fence as a bathroom at about 8:14 a.m. Tuesday. The victim told police there was also dirty toilet paper all over the place, according to a police report.

Police called for extra patrols at the next home over as there appeared to be underage partying taking place in the rear garage on the property of 211 McArthur Dr.

 

Woman reports assault Tuesday

An assault report was taken at 706 Alcove St. at 8:42 p.m. Tuesday. A woman told police someone assaulted her and ran off, but police did not get a description of the suspect.

 

Gas smell near school reported

Someone reported smelling gas at Hawthorne Elementary School, at the intersection on East Hawthorne Street at 6:10 p.m. Tuesday.

 

Woman arrested for domestic assault

Holly Marie Mortenson was arrested after Freeborn County Sheriff’s deputies received a domestic violence call from 32871 630th Ave. southwest of New Richland at 9:58 p.m. Tuesday. The victim told police Mortenson broke into the home and assaulted him.
