A free event, The Lloyd and Ardis Peterson Cancer Education Symposium, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 10 at Wedgewood Cove Golf Club, 2200 W. 9th St., Albert Lea. The symposium is free and lunch will be provided.

John Laurie, M.D., and Timothy Kozelsky, M.D., both from Albert Lea Cancer Center; Jeff Sloan, Ph.D., Mayo Clinic Cancer Center; and Christine Clifford, humorist, author and CEO of The Cancer Club, are scheduled to present.

The symposium comes from the generosity of The Lloyd and Ardis Peterson Family Foundation who wished to honor their parents in the community where they lived and worked while simultaneously recognizing the quality care they received from the medical center in Albert Lea.
