Bulldog runners find top 10 finishes at Central Springs

The Lake Mills boys’ cross country team didn’t repeat as champions of the Central Springs meet Thursday, but came away with a third-place finish and three runners in the top 10.
Cory Aamodt finished sixth in the 5-kilometer event with a time of 19 minutes, 56 seconds. Zach Marpe was two spots back with a time of 20:12 and Tim Brandt was two spots behind Marpe with a time of 20:15. Jacob Sorenson finished 11th with a time of 20:41 while Casey Tiedman was 12th with a time of 20:43 and Tyler Dahle was 21st with a time of 23:12.
Four teams were at the meet and West Fork won the meet.
For the Bulldog girls, three runners competed, including two for the first time.
Anna Rogers medaled for Lake Mills with a ninth-place finish and a time of 19:15.
Kylah Polley was 23rd with a time of 21:48 in her first meet ever and Amber Christianson was 30th with a time of 23:19 in her first meet.
The Bulldogs compete Monday in Garner-Hayfield.
