The deadline to submit an application to be eligible for a $750 scholarship through the Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will be March 9. There will be six $750 scholarships available to students who reside in Freeborn County.

To be eligible, students must be a resident of Freeborn County, be seeking financial assistance for a freshman year at a college or university, and preference is given to business majors; however, others will be considered. All majors are encouraged to apply.

Scholarship money will be awarded upon receipt of first quarter/semester grades. Applicants can apply online at www.albertlea.org. People with questions can call Tami Jensen at the chamber, 373-3938.
