Clippers down Knights

ALDEN– Ariel Keller scored 16 points on Thursday, but it wasn’t enough as the Cleveland Clippers girls’ basketball team defeated the Alden-Conger Knights 53-40 in Alden.

The Knights shot 19-of-24 from the field and 4-17 from the free throw line.

“It was a well played ball game,” Alden-Conger coach Gary Newman said. “There was five minutes left and we were down by four, we have to learn how to finish.”

Along with Keller, Karina Skov scored 10 points, while Taylor Martin recorded eight points.

The Knights are back in action at 10 a.m. on Saturday as they travel to East Chain to take on Madelia.
