Michael Reyerson scored 22 points and pulled down 17 rebounds Friday, but it wasn’t enough as the Truman Bluejays boys’ basketball team defeated the Alden-Conger Knights 74-51 in Alden.
Tyler Adix scored 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Knights.
Alden-Conger shot 16-22 from the free throw line on the night.
“This is the best we’ve played in about a month,” Alden-Conger coach Bill Hintz said. “We’re starting to get some players back that we didn’t have before.”
Truman jumped out to an early lead and held a 38-23 halftime lead over the Knights.
“Truman is a very good ball club,” Hintz said. “They go deep in their bench and have seniors all over the place on their team.”
Alden-Conger is back in action at 7:30 p.m. on Monday against Le Center in Le Center.
