GLENVILLE — The Glenville-Emmons boys’ basketball team fell to 1-8 on the season with a 69-35 loss to Lyle/Pacelli.
Lyle/Pacelli raced to a 12-5 lead with two straight 3-point plays.
However, Glenville-Emmons fought back to cut its deficit to one point with a 3-pointer by Derek Olson.
“He’s our biggest offensive threat, and we work to get him good looks,” Glenville-Emmons head coach Jared Matson said. “I thought he had a great game tonight, and he’s going to have to step up and lead us down the stretch.”
Olson earned a team-high 13 points for the Wolverines, while Gavin Allison added eight points.
Lyle/Pacelli built its first 10-point lead with three and a half minutes remaining in the first half.
In the second half, Lyle/Pacelli extended its advantage with the help of four dunks by senior guard Skylar Meyer who scored a game-high 26 points.
