Funeral services for Luetta Emma Wolff will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Curtis Zieske will officiate. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church. Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral.com.

Luetta died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at her home in Chandler, Ariz.

Luetta Emma Wolff was born Aug. 3, 1917, in Freeborn County, the daughter of Walter B. Mittag and Olga (Lau) Mittag. She was baptized on Aug. 17, 1917, and confirmed on June 21, 1931, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Myrtle. She attended school District No. 77 and Albert Lea High School.

On Nov. 10, 1935, she was united in marriage to Edward H. Wolff at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. They resided and worked together on the farm north of Northwood for 32 years. They were active members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, and Luetta was active in circles and women’s groups.

She enjoyed working with flowers, needlework, baking and entertaining family, friends, neighbors and remembering relatives and friends with cards and letters.

In 1967 they moved to their home on Maple Hill Drive in Albert Lea and transferred their membership to Trinity Lutheran Church. She was also active in circles and women’s groups there. They spent winter months in Arizona and later made Chandler their home and were associate members of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chandler. She enjoyed the Widows Might and Senior Group and the quilters group while able to do so there.

Survivors include her children Gloria and husband Dale Jensen of Albert Lea and Julaine Buchholz of Chandler; grandchildren Delores (Cheryl) Jensen of Bloomington, Brenda and (James) Hardy of St. Paul, Brian and (Sue) Jensen of Chaska, David and (Monica) Buchholz Martinez, Calif., and Andrew and (Kara) Buchholz of Mesa, Ariz.; great-grandchildren Nicholas and Morgan Jensen of Chaska, Jacob and Nathan Hardy of St. Paul, David Jr. and Mia Brianna Buchholz of Martinez, Calif. and Landon, Macy and Liam Buchholz of Mesa; brother Wilbur Mittag of Austin and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

Luetta was preceded in death by her parents; step-father Robert Broitzman; husband Edward; daughter Rosalie Diane; son-in-law Herbert Hansen; brothers Luverne and Gaylen Mittag; step-brother Arnold Broitzman and sisters-in-law, Pearl Mittag and Evelyn Mittag.

Luetta was a very caring, loving and generous person and was always ready to help anyone who needed her help. She will be truly missed by all who loved and knew her.
