Bemidji State loses to Nebraska-Omaha

BEMIDJI — Matt White had two goals and an assist as Nebraska-Omaha beat struggling Bemidji State 5-3 on Friday in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association.
White had a goal in each of the first two periods for the Mavericks (14-9-2, 10-5-2). He assisted on Johnnie Searfoss’ empty-net goal in the closing seconds.
The Beavers (5-13-5, 4-9-4) got the game’s first goal from Brady Wacker but Nebraska-Omaha netted the next three goals to take charge. Mavericks goalie John Faulkner made it stand up, stopping 22 shots.
Searfoss and Jaycob Magna had a goal and assist apiece for Nebraska-Omaha.
The Beavers are winless in their last seven games (0-5-2).
