A recent letter writer forgot about eliminating competition for farmland. They had a system in Russia where the government owned all the land and the farmers willingly worked the land for the benefit of all. If the writer believes socialism can work for business, why not farming? The present system has caused us to have to protect our borders to keep people out. The Russian system had protection at the borders to keep people in.
