Marijuana found in deputy’s car

A Freeborn County sheriff’s deputy found a small bag of marijuana in the back seat of his patrol car at 6:44 a.m. Sunday. The bag was placed in the evidence room, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.

Supervisor Chuck Malepsy said the bag was left by a person who had been placed in the back seat but deputies were unsure who that could have been.

Man charged for marijuana possession

Garth Derwood Conklyn III was charged with felony possession of marijuana and for possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 8:40 a.m. Saturday at 800 S. Fourth Ave. in Albert Lea, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.


Man cited for DWI

Matthew Ross Hunnicutt was cited for a fourth-degree DWI after testing 0.10 during a traffic stop around 2 a.m. near Water Street and North Washington Avenue, according to the Albert Lea Police Department.


Man arrested for theft

Brandon James Roberts, 18, was arrested for theft, criminal damage and possession of drug paraphernalia at 2:06 p.m. Saturday at 2610 Bridge Ave., according to police.


Police respond to report of a fight

After hearing reports of a possible fight a little after 2 a.m. on Court Street, police arrested Jennifer Jean Trevino, 30, for fifth-degree assault and disorderly conduct.


Criminal damage reported

Holes were reportedly shot in a window and the garage at 210 First St. SE in Clarks Grove. The incident was reported to sheriff’s deputies at 9:53 a.m. Saturday.
