GRAND MEADOW — The Grand Meadow medical clinic will soon be closed.
Mayo Clinic Health System of Albert Lea and Austin announced the retirement of Dr. Michael Gregg, who worked at the Grand Meadow clinic. With his retirement, the health system will close the office.
Gregg was the sole provider at the clinic, where he worked for more than 30 years, and his last day will be March 29.
“We know this will change where patients receive their care, but are confident they will receive the same high level of care at one of our nearby locations,” said Tammy Kritzer, vice president of operations.
Kritzer pointed to the health system’s facilities in Adams, Alden, Blooming Prairie, Kiester, Le Roy, New Richland and Wells in Minnesota or the one in Lake Mills as possible alternatives, all with access to Grand Meadow patients’ records.
