Flatulence leads to dispute
AUSTIN — An Austin man was charged for felony assault Monday in Mower County District Court after he kicked his brother in the head for passing gas.
Police arrested Hector Alonzo Estrada, 33, at a McDonald’s in Austin shortly after they received the call. Estrada’s brother said Estrada kicked him in the head and left through a back door. Police followed the footprints in the snow for several blocks to find Estrada.
Estrada claims he did not assault his brother, and that he only fell, according to the court complaint.
Estrada was convicted of gross misdemeanor assault and interfering with a 911 call last May in Mower County.
