The United South Central and New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva wrestling teams will decide the Gopher Conference championship on Saturday at noon.
The meet was postponed from Jan. 24 and will be held in New Richland.
“We need a win to lock up the No. 3 seed for sectionals,” USC head coach Marcus Eytcheson said. “It’ll be one of our most exciting duals of the season.”
The Rebels are coming off a double dual sweep of Medford (60-18) and Mankato East (63-18).
The Panthers are also coming off a big win. NRHEG defeated Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton 38-32 on Thursday.
“It was the best effort we’ve had all season,” NRHEG head coach Paul Cyr said.
NRHEG trailed 26-10, but the Panthers rallied by earning falls in four of the last five weight classes.
