MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Orchestra is canceling more concerts as a lockout of its musicians continues.
The Minnesota Orchestral Association said Friday it has canceled or rescheduled concerts through April 7.
While the two sides have made some progress in contract talks in recent weeks, orchestra management said the cancellations are necessary under its arrangement with the Minneapolis Convention Center, where the orchestra was due to play.
Orchestra President Michael Henson said the two sides are working on how to do an independent financial analysis requested by the musicians.
In a statement, the orchestra’s musicians said management has “further eroded the public trust” by canceling the concerts.
The musicians were locked out Oct. 1 after their contract expired.
